Shuba Sriram

Shuba has been learning Carnatic music from the age of eight. She has won many prizes in music competitions while in School and College and has given a few performances back in India. She won the "Bharat Kalachar" scholarship for two years for excellence in Carnatic music during her high school years. She also had the experience of singing in the "chorus" in a couple of movies for which the music was scored by IIayaraja, while in high school with her school "music gang".

She did her under-grad in Carnatic Music in PSG College of Arts & Science,Coimbatore. She married her Professor's son Sriram and together they moved to the US with their older daughter (who was an infant then) in 1998. She is a proud mom of two beautiful daughters Deepikaa (7 yrs) and Tanvika (4 yrs). While in Bay area, she enjoyed teaching Carnatic music to a bunch of kids. In 2002, her family moved to Europe. After living for a year in Brussels, Belgium and a year in London,UK , the family is back in the States and has settled in Pittsburgh, PA.

She proudly became a part of "Thillana" 3 years back, her first show was "Vaarayo Vasanthame"!
